State of art Tannery, China

With funding from ‘The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ in Denmark, Auluna has been leading the way as project manager to define how a state of the art tannery should be set up and managed.

In close cooperation with Håndværksrådet, Cowi and Chinese consultants, Auluna has, in 2008, finalised a feasibility study of how to start up a state of the art tannery with full focus on environment and workers health and safety. The study has a detailed description of the cultural expectations of tanneries in China.

We have been able to identify the main problem areas of the tanneries and the challenges we face in the next 5 years.
